What garages and mobile mechanics need to know before applying.

Is it free to list my garage?

Founding profiles are free during the Kent launch and no card details are requested. Local Mechanics may later offer optional paid promotion or featured placement, but nothing becomes chargeable without your agreement.

Can a mobile mechanic apply?

Yes. Fixed-premises garages, mobile mechanics and businesses offering both workshop and mobile services can apply. Clearly state the towns and travel radius you cover.

Do I need my own website?

No. Your Local Mechanics profile gives you a page that can be shared directly. If you already have a website, your listing can include a website link when requested.

Must I link back to Local Mechanics?

No. A badge or link from your website is optional and is not a requirement for inclusion. Approved garages can request a simple badge and their exact profile link.

What information appears on my page?

Your page can show the business name, owner-approved description, services, vehicle types, photographs, coverage area, hours and chosen contact options. Only publish details you are comfortable displaying publicly.

Can Local Mechanics link to my website?

Yes, if your website is active, relevant to the listed business and you ask for it to be shown. Links and listing details remain subject to review.

Can I change or remove my listing?

Yes. An authorised business representative can request corrections, updates or removal. Local Mechanics may ask for verification before making material changes.

Does applying guarantee that I will be listed?

No. Applications are reviewed so the directory remains accurate and useful. Local Mechanics can decline or remove listings that cannot be verified, are misleading or are not suitable for the directory.
